I wanted to take a look at what the other New York football team who have been tooting the Super Bowl horn for quite some time now are doing in this week’s post.

The Jets really could have made the playoffs this season, but they lost in a pivotal game against the eventual Super Bowl winning team the NY Giants. The game also featured Victor Cruz’s 99 yard TD that sparked the offense and really changed the fortunes of the Giants in many ways.
As far as the Jets go, there was LaDanian Tomlinson who stated on the show “Inside The NFL” that the Jets locker room was dysfunctional and got out of hand a lot towards the end of the season. The brash in your face style of the Jets which really got them to two back-to-back AFC championships may have been a liability this past NFL season.
There has been a lot of tension between their franchise quarterback Mark Sanchez and the game-breaking wide receiver Santonio Holmes, but the Jets have decided to keep Holmes because cutting him would cost them too much. Darrelle Revis talked about the situation and said that coach Rex Ryan was actually unaware of a lot of what was going on behind the scenes.
Talking about Rex Ryan, much has been made about his predictions and even his players and Rex himself have been asked the question. LT and Revis along with Rex seem to feel that it was what they needed, but Rex seems to have shied away from any predictions for next season. Even the Jets seem to be showing some humility by taking out a full-page ad on the NY Daily News to congratulate the Giants on their recent Super Bowl triumph.
