Who deserves to call Metlife Stadium home. Certainly both teams do, but when they play each other there is only one way to decide who's stadium it really is. The game pitting both New York teams is finally here. Rex Ryan's 8-6 Jets will face the 7-7 Giants Sunday in what is a huge game for both teams fighting for playoff spots. The Jets and Giants will both need help, but it is fair to say that whoever loses todays game will not be able to get into the post season. Both teams have big followings and it will be interesting to see who shows up in more numbers. Will more be cheering for the Giants or will more be cheering J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets.
The jets are trying to get into the postseason and will have to win out to do so. They come into the game behind Mark Sanchez who has been a rollercoaster this season. More success has been seen from Shonn Greene, when healthy, especially lately. Greene has had some huge games down the stretch which have really helped the offense. Last week however he got a little more banged up as the Jets were dismantled by the Eagles. They hope to bounce back from that game and backup all of Rex Ryan's talk. Also looking to help get the Jets on top is former New York Giant wide receiver Plaxico Burress who will be looking forward to play his old squad Saturday.
The Giants will need a lot of help to get into the playoffs, but could still win their division. Another season marked by winnable games and big time disappointment plague the Giants who continue to find ways to lose under Tom Coughlin. It is hard to see this coach staying for much longer given the way his team buckles year to year. Last week, the Giants were out-performed by a poor Redskin's team. Eli threw 3 interceptions and the defense could not stop a nose bleed. It was the kind of game a playoff caliber must win, and the Giants could not. This seems to be the trend late in the season and i do not see much changing this year.
Prediction: Jets 27 Giants 24
