The Knicks won in Washington Wednesday by the final of 107-93. The win came despite not having key players. The Knicks have disappointed most this season as they have fallen well under everyone's expectations. Currently the team filled with talent is just 11-15 on the year. In away games, they improved their record to 5-8 this season following the win against Washington. The team came out sluggish in teh contest, but really turned things on in the 2nd half to get the victory.
The Knicks were led in scoring by Tyson Chandler who scored 25. He also led the team in rebounds with 11. Jeremy Lin added 11 assists to lead all in teh category. The teams slow start included just 17 points scored in the first quarter. In the 2nd half, however, they scored 65 in all with 30 plus points in both the third and fourth quarter. The team must have had one heck of a halftime speech to help them get inpired on the road. The win still has the team in 3rd place 7 games back in the division.
The Wizards were led by Jhon Wall who scored 29. He also led the team in assists with 6. Javale McGee added 9 rebounds to lead the team as well. The team scored less than 25 points in each quarter. The loss makes their overall record just 5-21 this season. Of those games, at home they are just 4-11. Their are only 2 teams in the league with a worse record. The team is currently 14 games back of the Heat in the division.
