MSG
With the NBA lockout still ongoing, Madison Square Garden showed off its latest overhauls. This is an $850 million development and it must be noted that it is the most expensive in history for an active arena. The Knicks locker room has been renovated and the lounge area looks as good as any elegant hotel’s. The Madison Concourse is now bigger and has higher ceilings. Special dishes from world-class chefs have been added such as Jean-Georges Vongerichten's "Simply Chicken”, Jeremy Marshall's "Lobster Shrimp Roll by Aquagrill" and Drew Nieporent's "Daily Burger".[1]
For the 800 top season-ticket holders who can use the new Delta Sky 360 Club, the arena's latest stylish, behind-the-scenes lounge area will make for an excellent viewing experience by being able to watch Knicks and Rangers players come into the arena through a glass divider. Additionally, they can watch MSG Network with its live studio shows as they eat, drink and socialize on the other side.[2]
Carmelo..

The Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) terminated on July 1, 2011 and the NBA has been in a lockout. The NBA and the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) have been in discussion with each other for over a year so that they can get a new CBA. Carmelo’s frustration went up higher when NBA commissioner David Stern called off the first couple of weeks of regular season games.[3]
The Knicks were looking forward to their regular season opener against the Miami Heat to showcase themselves with a victory. Nevertheless, Carmelo stated that he will not be looking to play abroad at this point. But even this could change should the lockout continue until the next year.
