NFC East

The Philadelphia Eagles picked up a “Giant” victory on Sunday to keep their chances in the NFC East alive. I was very disappointed that the New York Giants weren’t able to finish off the Eagle’s playoff hopes at home. It’s a known fact that the Eagles have to run the table to even get to 10-6 and I had thought Philly would have tapped out. Al Michaels stated in NBC’s Football Night in America that the schedule gets tougher for the NY Giants in comparison to the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles. I still feel the Giants will clinch the NFC East but it will be a battle with Dallas that could ultimately come down to who wins at the MetLife Stadium in week 17.
Looking back, the Giants were not ready to play and weren’t able to run block or pass block against Philly on Sunday Night Football. The Eagles had so many instances where they could have scored much more. Desean Jackson’s antics cost them a 51 yard gain in the second quarter and I felt that LeSean McCoy could have added more to the score if he ran harder for a touchdown at the end of the game.
AFC East

This Sunday has a lot of exciting games that the AFC East contenders are involved in. New England will travel to Lincoln Financial Field to take on Philly in a must win game at home for the Eagles. The New York Jets will be at home in a crucial game against the Buffalo Bills.
The Bills have now sunk to third place in the AFC East standings after 4 losses in the last 5 games. Still, the Jets have also lost their last two games including a very disappointing loss to the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football.
