This was actually a Sunday Night Football game that I looked forward to greatly going into the current NFL season. However, the Eagles dismal performance and 3-6 record makes for a lot of the drama to be absent in an otherwise exciting match-up. This has made what could have been a dream season for the Eagles really a season to forget.

To make matters worse, Michael Vick who really hasn’t been as effective this season and starting wide receiver Jeremy Maclin have been ruled out of this game due to injuries. Vick is out due to two broken ribs and Vince Young will take his place. Let’s hope that Desean Jackson’s alarm clock goes off this week. Actually, may be it shouldn’t as we all still remember the “Miracle at the New Meadowlands” last season.

The New York Giants should really clinch the NFC East division with their impressive start to the season. They made a statement against the Philadelphia Eagles when the Eagles got stunned at home by the Giants 29-16 in week 3 of the 2011 NFL season. But one thing that wears on Giants fans minds is that their team has not been good at finishing the season off well since that incredible Super bowl victory over the Patriots in February 2008.
I just want to say that I am sorry to all the Giants fans out there including myself for talking exclusively about the Jets these past couple of weeks. I had been captivated by the attention-grabbing Jets the past two seasons with their brash talk, trips to the AFC Championship twice and appearance last season on HBO's Hard Knocks. With the Jets now seemingly in trouble with a 5-5 record, all hopes are on the NY Giants to prevail this Sunday and go into the playoffs with as much momentum as possible.
