The New York Jets will, once again, have their hands full as they travel to Seattle to take on the Seahawks. The Seahawks have proven this year, and historically, that they are nearly unbeatable at home. The Jets will be the latest team to test that theory. The Jets are currently 3-5 while the Seahawks have a 5-4 record. The Seahawks can stay in position to try and make a playoff run. The Jets, on the other hand, need a win to have any chance in hell at such.
The Jets have been a proverbial mess this year. Negativity has surrounded the team since the end of last year, and Rex Ryan may have the hottest coaching seat in all of sports right now. The Jets have averaged 21 points a game, and get just over 300 total yards per game. They have not had a Rex Ryan defense this season as well and give up 25 points per game. They are also allowing an average of 141 yards per game rushing.
The Seahawks have surprised many with rookie quarterback Russell Wilson. They have also played very strong defense. Offensively, Russell has not many games with sheer numbers, but has proved to be good down the stretch and makes few mistakes. Defensively, the Seahawks give up just 17 points a game and have been very good getting turnovers. This mistake free football has really showed that a solid disciplined team can really go far despite huge statistical numbers.
